Our Story
Dhaval Dholakia graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in fashion designing from Mod’Art India, a sister concern of the renowned Mod’Art Paris, where she refined her skills and cultivated her unique design aesthetic. Following her graduation, she pursued a diploma in fashion styling from FAD International in Mumbai, further expanding her expertise. Her journey in the fashion industry is marked by diverse experiences such as Pattern making & garment construction faculty, fashion PR manager, junior fashion designer, social media manager and costume stylist all these roles have helped her shape her creative vision and expertise.
As a teenager, she was always uncomfortable and disappointed with traditional Indian outfits that did not compliment her body type, leaving her frustrated with the lack of options and advice. This personal struggle fuelled her to pursue a career in fashion. She knew she wanted to create a label that addressed these issues. Her vision was to empower both women and men who, like her, had faced challenges in finding clothing that felt comfortable, stylish, and tailored to their specific body types to accentuate their looks.
While gaining experience in multiple fashion fields, she discovered the significance of ethical fashion, realizing the profound impact of the fashion industry on both the environment and workers’ rights. This awakening led her to commit to ensuring fair labor practices within her production process. Her brand’s ethical fashion approach is rooted in transparency, aiming to reduce waste and promote slow fashion by offering timeless, high-quality pieces that last. Guided by the philosophy that “less is more,” she embraced minimalism, creating pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing, classic and sustainable. She strives to create a fashion ecosystem that is not only beautiful but also responsible, proving that style, comfort, and sustainability can go hand in hand.
